Privacy

This page describes what ReSell collects today and why. It is a draft and will be reviewed before public launch.

Waitlist

If you join the waitlist we store your email address and any interests you tick, and use them only to tell you when ReSell launches. To be removed, email us and we'll delete your entry.

Without an account

• A random visitor ID in a first-party cookie, so favourites and recently viewed items work without signing in.
• Usage events — product impressions, views, searches, saves and BUY NOW clicks — stored with a salted, one-way hash of that ID rather than the ID itself, plus a coarse device type (mobile / tablet / desktop).
• Country-level location is only recorded where we have enabled it and have a legal basis to do so.

With an account

• Your email address, optional first name, and a securely hashed password.
• Your favourites, saved searches and recently viewed items.

Affiliate links

When you tap BUY NOW, we record the click with a random reference ID and send that reference (not your identity) to the retailer's affiliate network so a purchase can be attributed. What the retailer collects once you are on its site is governed by the retailer's own privacy policy.

What we don't do

• We never see or store your payment details — purchases happen on the retailer's site.
• We don't sell personal data.
